Hello, I have a question, I too am interested in making my own custom maps like this but where do I go to either get a tutorial on this or is there a rpg map generator I can purchase it from.

Thanks do appreciate it.

NICE WORK HERE!! :)

I must say this is absolutely fucking astonishingly good. I just got into map making a week ago and I'm working on making my first continent to my world. Are the textures used in this map custom made by you or something? I'm having trouble finding good satellite textures. Have you taught yourself all this or is there a place I can go to learn better?

I made some of the textures myself, but many are from the free Demo of Genetica viewer: [link]

Die Karte ist dir extrem gut gelungen! Ich finde es toll, dass der Kontinent durch die Karte immer detaillierter wird und so zu vielen neuen Ideen anregt :aww:

Love the mountains and forests - what techniques did you use for them? :)

Nothing special... some blending options in Photoshop. Three layers with bevel and emboss for the mountains and a scattered brush for the forests. I think similar techniques are described in the cartographers guild [link] :)

This is one of the better satellite style maps I have seen in a long time. My kudos to you.

Out of curiosity, how did you get the mountains and high hills? I have the same texture kit but have no idea how to get mountains to look natural like that.

I use three levels (low, medium, high) with slightly different bevel and emboss options. You may search the tutorials at cartographers guild [link] for more detailed instructions ;)
